Fagopyrum esculentum Moench.

A variety of medium-early, high-yielding, highly resistant to shedding and dormancy and drought sowing buckwheat

Medium early (slightly later than the Kora variety)

Plants 100 - 125 cm tall, depending on growing conditions, soil and climate (slightly taller than Kora varieties)

Good resistance to spring frosts and periodic droughts

Cotyledons are dark green

Contains anthocyanins

Stem - medium length, green with a bright shade of anthocyanin

Flowers - pink buds, white petals, single flowers light pink

Foliage – medium to large leaves, green to dark green, stem leaves with partly red veins

Fruit - yellow wingless nut (65-70%), dark brown (15-20%) and variegated (10-15%)

The seeds are much darker than the Kora variety, very resistant to shedding, higher 1000 seed weight and easier to shell.

The weight of 1000 seeds are 30-33 g

Flaking - 20.5-24.5%
