CELSTER 230
FODDER PLANTS / CORN / SILOS
Zea mays L.
A mid-early, vigorous early-season, disease-resistant, pest-resistant hybrid maize variety for silage production
High yields of silage and cobs of high forage value
Silage has good quality and energy value, very good digestibility and absorption of nutrients
A large amount of starch
Tolerates poor growing conditions very well
Perfect for growing in light soils
Fairly resistant to light frosts
Plants are 230-250 cm high, in good conditions they can exceed 300 cm
Thanks to the strong stem, it has high lodging resistance, does not lay down until harvest - lodging resistance - 7.2 points (9.0 points on the scale)
The average yield of green mass is 35-50 t/ha. In excellent conditions, over 50 t/ha can be achieved, the record is 83 t/ha (30-35% dry matter)
The yield of dry matter reaches 15-25 t/ha, the average is 18 t/ha
Pods make up 55-60% of the dry matter yield
NEED FOR TEMPERATURES:
For silage (30% DM): 1400-1460 °C
