Fertile, high-yield quality seed oat variety for food
The vegetation period (in Finland) is about 100 days.
Yield - 6.6 t/ha
Stem - 101 cm
Resistant to dormancy, only 12% of plants were dormant
Quite resistant to diseases
The grain is white, larger than the grains of the Belinda variety
Weight of 1000 grains - 38.9 g
The fraction of small grains, that is smaller than 2 mm, is small
The weight of a hectoliter is 54.2 kg/hl
Protein content - 11.5%
Protein yield - 641 kg/ha
Grain huskiness - 21.7%
Very thin shell
The quality meets the needs of the mill industry, used for food
Suitable for growing in all types of soil, but best in mineral clay soils
When growing in better soils, it is recommended to use stem crushing agents
The optimal rate of nitrogen in good soils is 60-80 kg/ha. In order to increase the amount of protein, the N rate can be increased to 120-130 kg/ha by dividing it (2/3 given before sowing)
PK fertilizers are applied in the spring, depending on the soil. Manganese is preferred.
Under different growing conditions than those found in these studies, cultivar parameters may differ from those given here.
SOWING RATE
Recommended sowing rate: 400-450 seeds/m 2, or 210-230 kg/ha. In unfavorable conditions, increase the seed rate to 550-600 seeds/m 2
