Research conducted at the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture shows that this type of grassland maintains high and stable productivity even up to 20 years of use. Grows very well in wetter areas, extensively drained areas. Best used for grazing only. It reaches pasture maturity in the second half of May and can be grazed in ungrown grass until the end of the month. These grasslands are essential in every grazing system. Winters very well, not afraid of short-term waterlogging. Raises a strong bow. Fits well in a wide range of soils, in many regions of Lithuania. Fertilization with mineral nitrogen is not very effective, so nitrogen fertilizers cannot be used at all. A suitable chain of greens in a sustainable farming system.
