What is Eucommia Leaf?

Eucommia Leaves are dried leaves from the tree Eucommiae. The active components and pharmacological effects of Eucommia ulmoides leaves are similar to those of Eucommia ulmoides bark. In its natural state, it grows at the altitude of 300-500 meters of the low mountain, valley or low slope in the sparse forest. The choice of soil is not strict in the barren red soil or rock cliffs. The plant is mainly produced in Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Gansu, Hubei, etc. More than 70 kinds of organic compounds and no less than 15 kinds of inorganic mineral elements have been isolated and identified, which can be roughly divided into iridoids, lignans, flavonoids, gutta-percha, phenylpropanoids, phenols, amino acids, polysaccharides, fatty acids and vitamins.
