What is Phellodendron?
Phellodendron refers to the dried bark of Phellodendron chinense Schneid. Phellodendron is in the shape of a plate or shallow groove, different length and width, 1 ~ 6mm thick. The outer surface is yellowish-brown or yellowish-brown, flat or with longitudinal furrows, some visible pore marks and residual greyish-brown coarse skin; The inner surface is dark yellow or light brown, with fine longitudinal ridges. It is mainly produced in Sichuan, Guizhou, Hubei, Yunnan, etc.
