High-yielding, one of the most oily (as much as 50% fat in the seeds) sunflower varieties
A type of oilseed sunflower of the black shell type. Annual plants. Vegetation duration until full seed maturation is 90-100 days. The height of the plants is 0.9-1.5 meters. The stem is erect, strong, unbranched, covered with coarse hairs. The leaves are lanceolate, broad, heart-shaped, long-stalked, covered (like the stem) with coarse hairs. Produces one large and several smaller gristles. Grows in all types, but best in fertile soils. It is necessary to choose a sunny place for cultivation. The seeds are medium in size, black in color. Due to the high nutritional value, large kernel and soft shell, the seeds of this variety are very popular with birds, even small birds eat them because the soft shell makes it easy to shell. Sunflower is an important oil and fodder, a food plant. The pomace (after oil pressing) is used to feed cattle. Due to the high yield of green mass, long vest root system, the plants of this variety are perfect for green fertilization, as they effectively improve the mechanical composition of the soil, increase soil fertility, and intensively reduce weediness.
Under different growing conditions than those found in these studies, cultivar parameters may differ from those given here
SOWING RATE
Recommended sowing rate for seed production: 75,000-85,000 plants/ha
Recommended seeding rate when growing crops for green manure: 10-14 kg/ha
