A variety of medium-early sowing buckwheat, resistant to spring frosts and droughts during the plant growing season, and partially resistant to grain shedding
Medium early variety. The average duration of the vegetation period is 87 days (counting from seed germination to full maturity), that is, the variety is 0.5 days earlier than the standard variety 'VB VOKIAI' buckwheat. The average height of the plants is 127.5 cm., resistance to lodging is 8 points (resistance to lodging is evaluated on a scale from 1 to 9, where 9 points is a very resistant to lodging variety). The average yield in the research year was 3.67 t ha -1 , which is 0.59 t ha -1 higher than the standard variety 'VB VOKIAI', but the grains are smaller (weight of 1000 seeds - 28 (25-30) g), found in 11.7% protein, 57.2% starch, and 22.9 (18-24)% grain hull. *Data for the description of the variety are taken from Sowing buckwheat varieties, entered in the national list of plant varieties, in 2016. Describes.
According to research in Poland, this variety is relatively early, resistant to spring frosts and droughts during the plant's growing season, resistant to diseases and partially resistant to grain shedding. Plants - 100-120 cm high, buds and flowers - pink, foliage - medium size. Vegetation period - 85-95 days. Seed yield 1.5-2.2 t/ha, weight of 1000 seeds - 25-30 g, shellability - 18-24%. Grows better than the PANDA variety in poorer soils.
Under different growing conditions than those found in these studies, cultivar parameters may differ from those given here
